Oh COVID-19 and how strange the world has gotten… This afternoon we had the chance to talk to birth mom and meet the baby over a zoom call. It was equal parts wonderful, weird, and lovely.
Baby girl was born June 5, 2020 at 1:42pm weighing 7 pounds 6 ounces and measuring 20 inches long. The pediatrician came in while we were on the call and said baby was doing great and looks very healthy.
Birth mom is doing great and feeling great. She’s been pumping and been able to feed baby girl breastmilk, Zach and I are very supportive in her desire to feed as much breast milk as possible and we hope to be able to find ways to support this down the road as well.. as much as possible.
We’re not quite ready to share any pictures with our friends and family, but I did want to get this update out there. As a tease, here’s a picture of us talking to birth mom and meeting baby though!
